Hot: Scary, but Freezing cold: Awesome

Jimmy and Kira came to town for the weekend, so of course, there was lots of fun and even more food. The first day, the boys went golfing and the girls went shopping, so to make it up to Ethan, we let him play in the water again. Kate wasn't really feeling it. Maybe because the water was near freezing. It didn't bother Ethan, though. He was in heaven. That night we went to a Tepan style Japanese restaurant to celebrate Uncle Thrine's Birthday. Ethan wouldn't take his eyes of the cook. The fire was a little bit too much. Kate had a similar response, but she did manage to muster up a smile thanks to Aunt Stian. A rare photo of Greg and I, sans kids. Saturday, we went to the beach. We didn't care that the weather wasn't on our side. It was cold and misty, to put it mildly. Ethan was ready. And surprise, surprise, he loved it. So, the jacket came off and Ethan would have joined the surfers if it was up to him. We kept having to bring him back out. He was waist deep a lot of the time and kept getting knocked over by the waves, but he was not discouraged. Kate was a little weary at first... But soon decided she was ready for action. And what's the beach without TK Burger? Thanks, Jimmy and Kira, for a fun weekend!

Kate and Claire would get along spendidly - the fountains always keep her away (although now that it is 106, she might go sprinting for them), but the ocean lures her in like no other. Like I said, best buds :)

Love the pictures Lo, especially the beach ones with them in their little suits. They look like they are having a blast.

Fun fun. That's so great that Ethan is not afraid of the water- & I suppose a bad thing too! I can't drag Mike to the beach. I need to work the pregnancy guilt a bit more I guess.
