Sunday stroll

We've started taking Sunday walks/ bike rides through the neighborhood.
One of the perks of 9am church.

This week, we ventured off on a "dirt bike path" that Ethan was dying to try.

There's a little hill that's steeper than it appears.
They had to walk their bikes up...

And they would zoom down.

Apparently, we went a little too far this time, because about a quarter mile from home, Soda decided she was done, thank you very much.

some cutes

Kate is just about the cutest thing with this dog of hers. I just can't get over it. She's firm, and gentle, and fun, and sweet. And she takes care of her like nobody's business. Some people just connect with animals, I've decided. And it turns out Kate is one of those people. And it's adorable.

The other day, after school, I laid on his bed, and E laid on Drew's, and we just talked and talked. About the kids in his class, sports, movies, the Lego sets he wants to buy with his allowance. As moms, we get special glimpses of the people our babies are going to become. The future is looking bright for this boy, and I'm excited to be along for the ride.

And this guy. He became a Sunbeam this year. In his sputenders. My heart just might explode. He's the oldest in his class by about 6 months, and he's, well, Drew, so of course the teacher just eats up his cuteness like I do. The twins say that during sharing time, he feels pretty confident in answering all the questions. And, usually, he's actually right. Three is my favorite age, and he's my favorite 3-year-old around.

Soda

I feel like Soda deserves a post of her own.

After all, she consumes my every waking moment these days. And thanks to her, I have a lot more waking moments than I used to.

Let's just say, it's a good thing she's cute.

I mean...

Really.

And she sure knows how to make you feel like a million bucks.

And sometimes, just sometimes, she isn't trying to eat one of my offspring.

But, boy, is this girl a handful. We go to puppy training class every Saturday, and she is by far the naughtiest one in there (there's only 3 dogs).

We have to treat ourselves to Bahama Buck's shave ice after the class (yes, we just have to), to make up for what she just put us through.

She doesn't have the eat-our-shoes/ bark-all-night/ hyper-as-can-be horror stories that you hear about labs, so I guess I can't complain. But mostly, she just wants to jump on all humans in a 3-mile radius, with her mouth, full of razor-sharp fangs, open.

I really do think that once she figures out a few things, she's going to be a fantastic pal of ours. She's smart and sweet and loves treats to please us.

And sometimes, when you're talking to her, she'll tilt her head like this, and my insides melt, because that's pretty much the cutest thing in the world.

the scooter

Did I already mention that Santa actually meant for this scooter to go to me?

Cause, I'm pretty sure he did.

I guess you could argue that we all think that.

It is really fun.

Especially on an icy, rainy day.

We love us a good hallway.
