Yesterday, in the car, the following conversation was held.
Kate: I don't like the sea.
Me: Really? You don't like going to the beach?
K: No!! I don't like the LETTER C!
Me: (not knowing how to respond) Why don't you like the letter C?
K: BECAUSE... it's SUPPOSED to say suh, but sometimes it says kuh. K says kuh, not C!
Me: And you're upset because your name starts with K and you don't want any other letters saying kuh?
K: RIGHT!
I fear for the day when she learns that the whole "I before E, except after C" thing isn't entirely true.
Let this be a lesson to all of you. This girl does not like impostors; If you say you are going to do something, you should probably just do it the way you are supposed to do it.
